Their sister, Hannah, was the wife of George Abbot, Sr. of Andover, after whose death she became the second wife of Rev. Francis Dane, minister at Andover.

to repair gates 1649; granted 100 acres in Ipswich Farms 1650. James Howe died 17 May 1702, aged 104. James Howe Sr.'s will made on 12 January 1699/1700. Names: sons James; John (of Topsfield); daughters Mary Abbatt, wife of Nehemiah Abbatt; Rebecca Barnard (at Andover), Sarah Bridges; and Sarah Proctor (daughter of Sarah Bridges
